WPC2026 Skills Forum training workshop to take place at World Plumbing Conference 2026

A special Skills Forum training workshop will be hosted as part of the 14th triennial World Plumbing Conference in 2026.
The World Plumbing Conference takes place from 23–25 June 2026 at the NEC Birmingham, in collaboration with InstallerSHOW.
The WPC2026 Skills Forum will welcome some of the best young plumbing and heating talent from around the world, including apprentices and students-in-training for WorldSkills.
WorldSkills is the world’s biggest international skills competition, which brings together youth, industry, education and government leaders from around the world to advance global Technical and Vocational Education and Training. The next WorldSkills competition – its 48th edition – will be held in Shanghai, China from 22–27 September 2026.
Over the three days of World Plumbing Conference 2026, the WPC2026 Skills Forum participants will train across a range of practical tasks that relate to the upcoming WorldSkills Shanghai 2026 plumbing and heating competition, including joining, bending and fixing of different piping systems, including multilayer, copper, HDPE and PVC, plus the installation of sanitary fixtures and tapware.
Various tasks will be assessed and demonstrated further by accompanying international judges and industry representatives, providing participants with further valuable insight and understanding of the upcoming competition demands.
As many of these young participants have never travelled internationally, the WPC2026 Skills Forum will provide a unique opportunity to see and experience new plumbing products and industry innovations, sharing and learning together with likeminded and highly-skilled peers from around the world who are also embarking on this once-in-a-lifetime WorldSkills adventure.
Seán Kearney – Managing Director, IWSH Foundation – said: “The World Plumbing Conference in 2026 is the perfect platform to highlight the young talent in our industry. Visit the WPC2026 Skills Forum workshop area to meet and witness world-class plumbing and heating champions in action. The best young talents from around the world are joining us at the NEC, and we can’t wait to see you there.”
Lindsey Coleman – Event Project Manager – World Plumbing Conference 2026 added: “We’re delighted to be working in partnership with WorldSkills, IWSH and the CIPHE for this unique Skills Forum. With a global shortage of skills, we want to do whatever we can to showcase our amazing industry, and the wealth of talent within it.”
